Canadian

Please join us for the Canadian ALSB 2023 conference April 28-30 at the World Famous Banff Spring Hotel “The Castle in the Rockies.”

Conference Location: Banff Springs Hotel, situated in the heart of Banff, is Canada’s oldest and most famous National Park. Banff Springs Hotel is located less than 90 minutes drive from Calgary International Airport, with shuttle buses and rental cars available for transportation to Banff.

Outdoor Activities: Amazing spring skiing will be in full swing at nearby Sunshine or Lake Louise ski hills, shuttles available from the hotel. Also: swim in the Banff Hot Springs, ride up the Banff Gondola, take a sightseeing tour of the Canadian Rockies, go spring hiking, horseback riding and shopping on Banff Ave’s boutique shops.

Please join us on the beach and boardwalk of Atlantic City for the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Academy of Legal Studies in Business (MAALSB) Annual Conference May 4-5, 2023. The conference will be held at Stockton University’s new AC campus. A room block has been reserved for conference participants at the Tropicana-AC Hotel, a short walk down the boardwalk from the campus. The Tropicana has a casino, multiple restaurants, bars and lounges, a spa, several pools, and more. The rate for Thursday night is only $94.99 (note that the conference ends midday on Friday to allow for travel).

MAALSB is an association of teachers and scholars in the fields of business law, legal environment of business, and business ethics, with members primarily from the Mid-Atlantic states. We welcome all who share our interest in business law education, regardless of geography or title, and take pride in our encouraging and supportive culture. We publish the Atlantic Law Journal, a double-blind peer-reviewed publication focused in areas related to business law and business law education, and we are a regional association of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business. This conference will feature a Best Conference Paper competition with cash prize.

The Annual Meeting of the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business (MALSB) scheduled to occur again in Chicago on March 22-24, 2023. The MALSB meeting takes place in conjunction with the MBAA International Annual Conference, and with dozens of sessions in multiple disciplines, it is again a great value for participants.

The 2023 Call for Papers link is below and provides information on how to register and the content of this year’s event. Our segment of the conference features business law and ethics paper sessions, panel discussions, and juried proceedings. There are also awards for Distinguished Paper, Outstanding Paper in the Proceedings, Best Reviewer and the Master Teacher Competition, and CLE credit available again this year.

The deadline for registration and the majority of submissions will be November 4, 2022. Registration is a two-step process: (1) Register for MALSB, and (2) Register for MBAA, selecting MALSB as your PRIMARY discipline.
