The Canadian Academy of Legal Studies in Business (CALSB) and Pacific Northwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business (PNALSB) are excited to announce their 2024 joint conference in Vancouver, BC: “The Future of Business Law.

The capacity for the conference is only 40 people, and since this is a joint conference, we expect tickets to go fast. We would recommend reserving your early bird tickets now!

The final conference schedule will be provided on the website and emailed to participants. We will have an evening reception on April 26, a full day on April 27, and a half day on April 28.

Call for Papers, Presentations and Panels: We welcome submissions and invite presentations or panels from participants. Our conference will also feature an award for a distinguished paper. The theme for this years’ conference is “The Future of Business Law”, which should be liberally interpreted. Your papers, panels, or presentations could cover any field of research and this theme should not limit your ideas for submissions or proposed presentations or panels. We will be releasing some ideas of what we are interested in seeing, particularly, on our website leading up to the conference.

Distinguished Paper Deadline: The deadline for paper submissions (to be considered for the Distinguished Paper award) is midnight, April 19, 2024. Additional papers may be submitted after that date but will not be considered for the award. Further details regarding paper submissions may be found on the CALSB website: www.calsb.ca (with or without paper submission).

We also welcome presentations (with or without paper). If you are planning to present at our conference, please advise Brandon Mattalo at bmattalo@wlu.ca on or before April 5, 2024.

Please join us on the beach and boardwalk of Atlantic City for the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Academy of Legal Studies in Business (MAALSB) Annual Conference May 4-5, 2023. The conference will be held at Stockton University’s new AC campus. A room block has been reserved for conference participants at the Tropicana-AC Hotel, a short walk down the boardwalk from the campus. The Tropicana has a casino, multiple restaurants, bars and lounges, a spa, several pools, and more. The rate for Thursday night is only $94.99 (note that the conference ends midday on Friday to allow for travel).

I am excited to invite you to join together again in Chicago for the Annual Meeting of the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business (MALSB) on April 10-12, 2024. The MALSB meeting takes place in conjunction with the MBAA International Annual Conference, and with dozens of sessions in multiple disciplines, it is again a great value for participants.

I’ve included the link to the 2024 Call for Papers, which provides information on how to register and the content of this year’s event. Our segment of the conference features business law and ethics paper sessions, panel discussions, juried proceedings, and the 2024 MALSB Master Teacher Competition. There are also awards for Distinguished Paper, Outstanding Paper in the Proceedings, and Best Reviewer, and CLE credit is available again this year.

This year, we invite you to join with us for a special event on Thursday, April 11 at 5:30pm for the ALSB 100th Anniversary Founders’ Celebration – a sponsored (aka free to you!) toast at the Palmer House to celebrate the Chicago founding of our national organization, Academy of Legal Studies in Business.

The annual meeting of the Southeastern Academy of Legal Studies in Business is fast approaching.  This year’s conference will take place in Greenville, South Carolina from November 9–11.  The conference will be held at the Clemson facility on the 5th floor of the Greenville ONE building, across the street from the conference hotel, Aloft Greenville Downtown.
